Beginner Introduction to Herding Fun Day

We learned more than you can imagine about dog instincts and obedience and it was one of the most fun days we have shared with Mollie.  In this photo Mollie is in the pen under the studentship of Tenley Dexter, and Mollie is being guided to fetch the sheet.  After a few minutes in the pen, it was very clear that Mollie has what it takes to become an excellent herding dog.
She moved so swiftly.  The rake is used to guide Mollie.

Mollie got the hang of herding sheep right away.

Mollie loves to run and play fetch the ball.

The one thing Mollie loves more than anything is running, especially if a ball is involved.  In these photos we are at the Rocky Hill Dog Park, in April, on a sunny, warm, spring afternoon.  Mollie is learning to wait until we say, "GO" before she leave our side to run after the ball.  She is now 10 1/2 months old and time goes by too quickly.

Fugley Puppy Stage

Oh what fun Mollie was having at It's a Dog's Life in Middlefield where she goes for doggy daycare.  Life is great when you are loved and lovable.

The backyard is an interesting adventure for a puppy.

Mollie is a very good travel buddy.

Mother and Daughter Healing Circle

Cookie was happy to see Mollie in my arms.  It was like she was giving me her blessing that Princess Mollie Sugarbritches was my puppy.

Puppy Love

These are the moments we knew she was our puppy.  It was wonderful to have her fall asleep in my arms.  The hard part was waiting until she was old enough to come home with Bill and me.
My dear friend Debbie Morse was the one who first introduced Bill and me, to Cookie, just two weeks before Mollie was born.  This photo was taken at our first mutual visit to see all of Cookie's first litter.
